Nobody seems to know what the word orthonym means. It means; when a writer uses a pen name or pseudonym and then he writes under his real name, he is writing under his orthonym. The real name of a person who uses a pseudonym is an orthonym. J.K. Rowling is the orthonym of Robert Galbraith. Washington Irving is the orthonym of Jonathan Oldstyle; Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, (even though the author is past tense, his work is still in the present tense), Stephen King is the orthonym of Richard Bachman. It’s great to learn something new, isn’t it? Books and reading teach you that!
